Burning Questions We Have for Avengers: Endgame Burning Questions We Have for Avengers: Endgame

10 Dec , 2018

I know you saw the Avengers: Endgame trailer, what’d you think? I thought it was nothing short of one of the most beautiful moments of my life. The trailer was everything that modern trailers DIDN’T have—extensive and lacking hard details. We don’t know if Captain America, Iron Man or Thor are going to die, but we do get to see that Clint Barton is back on the team. We don’t know if every Avenger is coming back to life.

But what we do know is Thanos won. The characters make their loss very clear and Captain America has a plan up his sleeve. But will Avengers: Endgame answer some questions or theories we’ve had in our head since Infinity War was over? Here are some things I want to know:

Will Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor all survive?

Everyone thought one of these guys was a goner in Infinity War, but the veteran crime fighters all stuck around. The big question is after making it through part one, will they survive a part two? There are plausible reasons for each of these guys to die. Thor lost everything, Asgard, his family, and his closest friends. It’d make sense for him to sacrifice himself in their honor.

Captain America is arguably one of two Avengers alongside Iron Man, wouldn’t a heroic ending be for him to die in the fight? Cap struggled in all three of his movies to stay off the battle lines, could you see him retiring the battle? Chris Evans’ contract has come to a close, would Marvel really replace their Captain America?

Iron Man is consistently throwing himself on the front lines for others, especially in Infinity War. Will this be his last stand and a final self-sacrifice? Or will Tony stick around and lead shield after Nick Fury?

Is Gamora gone for good?

Spider-Man, Black Panther, and the Guardians pretty much have a guaranteed ticket back to the story. Far from Home, Black Panther 2, and Guardians 3 are on the way and those films need their heroes. But will Gamora return in Avengers 4?

If Thanos knew he could bring Gamora back the entire time, there’d be no stakes in the Infinity War story. Thanos wouldn’t need to sacrifice anything to obtain the soul stone, therefore it’d make his tearful sacrifice all for nothing. He killed Gamora before obtaining the soul stone, so is there a chance she’ll stay dead in the Cinematic Universe for the stakes?

Will we see Fox Marvel characters in the near future?

After the Avengers are over, where will Marvel take the franchise? The best place to dive would be into the Fox Marvel licensed material.

Disney wouldn’t have to start immediately with Fox’s X-Men (who are still moving forward with Dark Phoenix, New Mutants, and reportedly Gambit) but they could launch immediately into the Fantastic 4 or integrating Deadpool and/or the X-Force into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Silver Surfer was rumored for Infinity War from being on a Metacritic listing, maybe he’ll make it into Endgame? This could be the perfect moment for Disney to start moving some characters back to their rightful home.

So what do you think? What are some questions you want answered in Avengers: Endgame? Let us know down in the comments!
