‘DC Comics’ Batman and The Outsiders: Fan-Casting

With this fan casting, I am going to do something a little bit different from my previous two Fan Cast (Super Girl Fancast and Batman Beyond Fan Cast). In this fan casting, I will attempt to fit a comic book storyline in the DCEU or any other DC property live-action film and cast those that are in those comic-book storylines.

Batman and the Øutsider

Batman and the Outsiders

Several years ago Batman personally put the Barrera family into hiding after they suffered through terrible experiments at the hands of an organization called the Ark. Now all but one of them have turned up dead…and Batman needs to locate Sofia Barrera before the wrong people get their hands on her—and her surprising power! But it wouldn’t be Batman without a hidden agenda, would it? And when Black Lightning, Katana, the Signal and Orphan find out what Batman is really up to, their every loyalty will be called into question.

Who is my fan-casting for Batman? Well, it is no other than Robert Pattison himself. That is right. I am going to put ‘Batman and The Outsiders’ in Matt Reeves ‘The Batman’ universe. This will take place five or six years after the event of Matt Reeves‘s third film. That way, it can be easily explained what Batman has been doing for years.

Batman and The Outsiders Issue #1

Next, is the leader of ‘The Outsiders,’ and that is Jefferson Pierce, aka Black Lightning, or Raijin. For me, the best person that should play Jefferson Pierce is John David Washington (‘TENET,’ ‘BlacKkKlansman, ’ ‘Ballers’ ). John David Washington, as an actor, has already proven that he could be in a leadership role. Along with that, It would cool to see John David Washington play a character that has issues of reaching his full potential.

Batman and the Outsiders issue #2

Equally, we have Tatsu Yamashiro, better known as Katana. Now with this casting, I was struggling if Karen Fukuhara (‘The Boys,’ ‘She-Ra,’ ‘Stray’) should return as Katana and get a second chance from the abomination better known as ‘Suicide Squad’ (2016). Or, Christina Masterson (‘Power Rangers, ’ ‘Truth or Dare,’). Now, I know some might complain since Christina Masterson has not had that one role that put her on a lot of people’s radar but trusts me; if they can get the right Director and writer, it’s a done deal.

So, I’m going to let you guys decide on this one. Would you rather have Karen Fukuhara or Christina Masterson? Comment down below.

As with Jefferson, he would be the rock of the team, but when it comes to Tatsu, she is the one that helps Jefferson since she is the most awgroup, but at the same time, she can be the most unstable, and that is an excellent contrast between her and Jefferson. One is always helping the other, and this type of relationship does not always have to end as a lovers relationship but a best friend relationship.

Next is Signal, aka Duke Thomas. Stephan James (‘If Beale Street Could Talk,’Race,’ and ‘Selma’) is a fantastic choice. If you seen some of Stephan James work, you will know that he can bring out all of the nuisances that comes with the character of Signal.

There is really nothing else to say because this is perfect casting on my part. Warner Bros hire me.

Batman and the Outsiders issue #3

And last, but not least, Orphan or better known as Cassandra Cain. In ‘Batman in the Outsiders, ’ this is one of the best interpretation of Cassandra Cain that we have ever gotten. She is badass and as emotional support for Signal, and that is coming from Cassandra, a person who was raised by two of the most dangerous and heartless people in the world. Do you know the amount of development you have to go through to get to that point?

And this is why it pissed me that we got what we got in ‘Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey,’ my only criticism. Anyway, back to my point. Chelsea Zhang is perfect not only because she plays a badd in ‘Titans’ but because she gives an excellent performance.

Let me know what you think of my fan-casting. If you disagree with some of my choices, which would you like to replace? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

Make sure to read ‘Batman and the Outsiders.’ It firmly relies on teamwork, but each character has their time to shine so much so that you can not help but love each individual and want more.
