Rick and Morty Season 4 Episode 10: Star Mort Rickturn of the Jerri SPOILER REVIEW

Yesterday, Adult Swim aired the final episode of Rick and Morty’s fourth season. As the title is “Star Mort: Rickturn of the Jerri”, the episode has parodies to Star Wars. This episode was worth the wait, and is the best finale that the show has had ever.

The episode covers the plot thread that was introduced in the Season 3 episode, “The ABC’s of Beth”, where Rick gives Beth the option of leaving the family and exploring space, while he cloned her, so that there still was a Beth on Earth. Yes, that is just as confusing as it sounds. In this episode, there are two Beths, and you don’t know which one is the clone. (I will refer to the Beth from Space, as Space Beth and the Beth that lives with Rick and Morty as Beth.) At the beginning of the episode, Space Beth comes back to Earth, once she realizes that Rick put a bomb in her neck.

However, the clone Beth storyline is not the only thread that this episode covers. This episode marks the real return of Tammi and Phoenix Person, as they are trying to capture Space Beth. This aspect leads to one of the greatest fight scenes that Rick and Morty has ever pulled off: a fight between Rick and his former friend, Phoenix Person.

After Tammi and the New Galactic Federation have been defeated, Rick reveals that he erased his memory of which Beth is the clone, leaving the audience to once again wonder, which Beth is the person we have been following for the majority of the series.

Rick and Morty Season 4 Finale Rating: 9/10

Rick and Morty will return with season 5, however, no release date has been set.
