Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief was a disappointment for fans, garnering a 50% on Rotten Tomatoes from critics and a 53% from fans. It was notoriously known for lacking a great plot and the series on Disney+ could possibly remedy those problems. Not only that, but diehard Percy Jackson fans could point out all the differences from the books. While the new series is headed for streaming, there’s no word on any original cast members returning for the series. Although that’s the case, no one appears to be sour about it.
